With more than 24 years of experience in public accounting, Matt Noonan assists clients with their numerous accounting, auditing, taxation, and business consulting needs. He serves a variety of closely held companies including manufacturing, transportation, and wholesale distribution companies. Matt regularly works with a variety of not-for-profit entities including several trade associations and private schools.
Matt's specific expertise includes assisting clients in business and succession planning and structuring transactions to maximize their Company's net profit.
Matt has been a part of the Lautze & Lautze team for the last 12 years. Prior to joining Lautze & Lautze, Matt worked with Ernst & Young (formerly Arthur Young & Company) and local accounting firm Rooney, Ida, Nolt & Ahern.
When he is not in the office, Matt enjoys family activities with his wife Anne and their three sons. Matt also jogs daily, backpacks, skies, and hunts. He is on the Board of Directors of several not-for-profit entities.
Education
Matt is a graduate of the Santa Clara University, where he earned his B.S.C. in Business in 1971. He then went on to receive his M.B.A. in Accounting from Golden Gate University in 1978. Matt's constant desire to learn keeps him on top of the changing financial world through his participation in post-graduate courses at Golden Gate University such as: individual taxation, partnership taxation, tax research, capital assets, retirement plans, estate and gift taxation.
