With over 27 years of experience, Craig Malmgren has an exceptional reputation for his knowledge of taxation and business consulting. Serving individuals as well as businesses, he works closely with his clients to exceed their tax planning needs. Craig assists businesses in a variety of industries including manufacturing, real estate and professional services.
Craig joined Lautze & Lautze in 1986 and was named director in 2000. Prior to joining the firm, Craig attained six years of experience with a local CPA firm, five of which he spent as a Partner. Early in his career, Craig served as a tax auditor for the United States Government.
Craig is a frequent presenter to organizations on various tax issues including real estate tax laws. He has authored numerous articles on tax law and is a three time participant on Bay Area TV station KRON's annual "Tax Tip's" series.
When he is not in the office, Craig enjoys horseback riding, golf and skiing. He is also an avid bull riding and rodeo fan.
Education
Craig received his B.S. in Accounting at California State University, Hayward in 1974. He went on to complete his M.B.A in Taxation at California State University, Hayward in 1980.
