LAUTZE AND LAUTZE CPAS & FINANCIAL ADVISORS MERGE WITH ACCOUNTING FIRM STEPHEN P. CARTER, CPA

San Jose, Calif.ö August 12, 2004 ö Lautze and Lautze CPAs and Financial Advisors today announced the completion of its merger with San Jose-based accounting firm Stephen P. Carter, CPA, a 19-year-old firm. Lautze and Lautze, a 59 year-old firm, also based in the Bay Area, will now have 51 employees.

The combined company will be known as Lautze and Lautze CPAs and Financial Advisors, and will continue to be based in San Francisco and San Jose. The merger significantly increases the firmâs professional expertise and client base, further expanding the business of this Top 25 Bay Area Accounting Firm.
